The official journal of the International Association of Ports & Harbors.
Ports & Harbors is the official journal of IAPH – the only worldwide organisation of port authorities. Founded in 1955, IAPH represents about 170 ports and 140 port-related public and private organisations of some 90 maritime countries worldwide.
The member ports together handle nearly 80% of the world’s container traffic and some 60% of world maritime trade. IAPH has consultative NGO status with several United Nations agencies, including the International Maritime Organization. In 2018, IAPH established the World Ports Sustainability Program (WPSP). Guided by the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, it aims to unite sustainability efforts of ports worldwide, encouraging international cooperation between all partners involved in the maritime supply chain.
Ports & Harbors has long proven to be one of the most recognised mediums for port executives and professionals around the world. It reports on the key issues of common interest to the world’s ports, ranging from port development and operations through to port safety, security and environment to logistic and IT applications. Ports & Harbors provides not only the latest information and examples of best practices but is also an international platform to exchange views and opinions.
